We had so much fun on last year's Durango getaway that we decided to do it again this year. (We kind of invited ourselves but I don't think Vicki and Summer cared too much.) Shelley couldn't join us this year because baby Katelyn was too little :(
Christy and Kim drove to Durango on Thursday while I was in Austin being a Blue October stalker... I mean groupie... no wait, I mean devoted fan. They picked me up bright and early from the Durango airport on Friday morning and the fun began.
What did we do on a girls weekend in Durango? I'll show you :)
We ate (a lot!)
Lunch at The Palace (oh so yummy!!!)
We wandered up and down Durango's main street. We did some shopping and possibly got a little bit silly.
(Did I mention the silliness? I had had about 5 hours of sleep in 48 hours so I was a bit loopy at this point. That's my excuse for this picture.)
The rain forced us to seek refuge at a movie theater. I bet you can't guess what movie we saw ;)
And then we ate again.
Cajun Boil at Steamworks- To. Die. For!
There was some silliness at dinner too (shocking, I know!)
Christy & I with our Diet Cokes- nectar of the gods!!!
Day two consisted of target practice
A trip to Silverton
While we were in Silverton we met Ian, an old family friend of Vicki and Summer's. He was so adorable! If he had been 10 years older I would have brought him home with me.
After our trek to Silverton we went back to the cabin where we celebrated Christy's birthday (the big 3-0!), ate dinner, played Apples to Apples and laughed a lot.
Sadly all things must come to an end. Sunday morning we said our goodbyes and hit the road.
In case this photo overload isn't quite enough for you- you can see more of my trip pictures here.

I love all these happy, silly faces! I almost feel like I've just had a girls-night-out! Thanks for sharing all the fun.
Everything looks so fun, Amy! What a fabulous weekend for you. Your friend's cabin is so picture perfect - it looks like a postcard!
