I hate Jack Nicholson. I don't think he's a good actor and he creeps me out so I just don't see movies with him in them. I had so many people tell me how much they loved The Bucket List that I put my prejudice aside and rented it. What a fantastic movie! It's the story of two men with terminal cancer that make a list of things they want to do before they kick the bucket. Along the way while on their adventures they both learn what is really important in life. It's a very touching story without being sappy. Just as a warning- you may want to have a few kleenex handy.
Morgan Freeman is amazing in his role as Carter. When isn't he amazing?!!? Sean Hayes plays the assistant "Thomas" perfectly. I even liked Jack Nicholson's Edward in the end. This doesn't mean I'm going to run out and rent all his other movies but I did like him in The Bucket List. This is definetly a movie I will be adding to my library.

I echo your feelings. I saw the shining in high school - it totally freaked me out - I can't get his crazy face out of my head (still to this day I remember it). I really don't like the man BUT the bucket list was a very good show.
Good to know. I have looked at it several times and wondered if it was good. Is it really sad? You know how I am about sad movies. Hate 'em!
We watched this last week and really enjoyed it too.
I'm glad to hear that you liked it. I know what you mean about Jack Nicholson though. Never saw The Shining--just the previews creeped me out. But unfortunately, I did see part of The Witches of Eastwick. Yikes! Very creepy indeed. Luckily it was on tv, so all I had to do was turn it off.
But I have liked him in other films where he was really funny. Anyway, it's too bad we "office girls" didn't ever get to do Bucket List when it first came out!!
