I heard a theory about the cover of Breaking Dawn that I really liked the other day so I thought I'd share it with you all to see what you think. When I first saw the cover I thought for sure that the chess pieces represented two different characters- Bella and Jane or Bella and Tanya. I don't know a lot about chess so I didn't know that if a pawn reaches the other side of the board without being killed that it then can become a different piece. So.... if Bella was the red pawn and made it to the other side (through whatever battles she encounters) then she can become the white queen. It could be that the battles she faces as the pawn are while she is still human or the red could be symbolic of her newborn stage. Hmmmmm..... there are so many possibilities!!!! How much longer?!?!?! (check the bottom of my blog for an exact countdown)
If you want a laugh you must check out Kaleb at Twilight Guy. He offers a male perspective on reading the Twilight series. He's hysterical!!!
Movie stuff-
It's always a concern when a book you love is made into a movie. So many times the movie is so different from the book that it's incredibly disappointing. When I go to see a movie that has been adapted from a book I've read I try really hard to separate them from each other. I have to remind myself that this is a movie based on a book, not the movie version of the book. The folks at MTV addressed this issue in today's edition of Twilight Tuesday-
There is an article about the Cullen Crest on the MTV Movie blog. The Cullen Crest is not in the book but it's something they have worked into the movie. I actually think it's kind of cool. Just think of the merchandising possibilites with the Cullen Crest- oh my!!!
