What a compliment!

I had an amazing English teacher this semester. She came highly recommended by Ben and Lyn so I registered for her class and found a kindred spirit. She's British, sassy, opinionated and brilliant! I actually enjoyed going to her 8:00 class. I learned so much more than writing in her class.

I e-mailed her about an assignment the other day and added a simple thank you for a great semester note at the end of the e-mail. This was her response-
"Thanks for being the sensible student who gave me the courage to keep teaching."

WOW! I was humbled by her comment. I guess I hadn't thought about how greatly the students effect the teacher. I'm going to be a lot more aware of my presence in a classroom and what I'm contributing to the class environment.
